Lee Roy Hampton

Lee Roy Hampton, 66, of 75 Haywood Ct., Apt. 409, Asheville, died on Tuesday, November 25, 2008, at the VA Medical Center. Mr. Hampton was a native of Haywood Co. and was a son of the late Hazel Hampton. Mr. Hampton was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps. He is survived by his children, Joyce, Billy Dean, Paul, and Gary Dean Hampton; aunt, Edith Putnam, of Waynesville, and cousin, Jimmie Putnam and wife Katrina, also of Waynesville. A graveside funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at Ashelawn Gardens with the Rev. Chris Willett officiating. His family will receive friends at Groce Funeral Home on Patton Ave. at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday.
