Leila taught me to remain faithful, stay humble, keep fixin’ up, not complain and that my husband was special … all this when I was her 30 year junior Sunday School teacher. What a memory we will always have of this Christian lady. We look forward to meeting her again in heaven.
Dear Owen and Family, it was good to see all of you, eventhough it was under the circumstances. Some of my fondest childhood memories are of Uncle Ot and Aunt Leila. The first time I went to the beach (8 years old)they went with us. Bent Creek camping sleeping in the hay in the back of Uncle Ot’s big farm truck. Sunday picnics with them and Dr. Harp. Many days in the summer when I was there all day either playing with baby chickens or puppies or fishing in the pond and of course being fed and petted. These are things that have shaped my life. I will always be grateful that I was fortunate enough to have such wonderful people in my life and have so many precious memories.
Love,
Jane
