LETHIA R. STOWE
EASLEY, SC – Lethia Reid Stowe, 88, formerly of Candler, died Wednesday, September 8, 2010, at St. Francis Hospital, Greenville, SC.
Mrs. Stowe was born in Buncombe County and was a daughter of the late Enoch and Rennie Clara Hice Reid. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Raymond Stowe and two daughters, Edith Pace and Marie Davis.
She was a member of Maple Hill Baptist Church, Etowah. She really loved her family and enjoyed bird watching, crafts, flowers, and working in her garden.
She is survived by a son, Raymond H. Stowe, Easley; three daughters, Mildred Ray and Betty King of Asheville, and Sharon Stowe of Easley; 15 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday in the Patton Avenue chapel of Groce Funeral Home with the Revs. Robert Elliott, Marvin Watts, and David Glenn officiating. Burial will be at Green Hills Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Linda and I are sadden to hear about the passing of Granny. She always welcomed me in her home and tried to get me to eat. Granny was a super person and there is a lot of people will miss her. Our prayers go out to you and the family.
