Lib Howell

A native of Drexel, NC, she was the wife of the late F. Allison Howell who died in 1988. Mrs. Howell lived in Buncombe County since 1920 and was the office manager for Allison Howell Real Estate and after Allison retired she became the broker-in-charge. She was very active in the First Baptist Church and after retirement served in the Baptist Mission Service Corps volunteer in Hawaii from 1978 to 1980. After Allison's death she relocated to Atlanta where her son lives and in 1998 to NHC Healthcare in Greenville where her daughter lives.

Surviving are a daughter, Marie H. White of Greenville, SC; a son Walter A. Howell of Atlanta, GA; six grandchildren, Dr. Kevin White, Kristen White, Kimberly Kerl, Dr. Karen Cooley, Lizzie Howell and Tracey Howell; and two great- grandchildren, Erin and Nicholas Kerl.

Visitation will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday at First Baptist Church, Asheville, with services following at 3:00 p.m. Reverends James Parham and Gail Colter will officiate. Burial will follow in Lewis Memorial Park.
