Lillian McIntosh King

Lillian McIntosh King, 82, of Leicester, died Tuesday, July 11, 2017. A native of Yancey Co., Lillian was a daughter of the late Bert and Althea Roland McIntosh. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Walter King. Mrs. King was a member of Big Sandy United Methodist Church. Surviving are her daughters, Connie Blanton and Diane Karns and husband Dan; son, W.E. "George" King and wife Vickie; three grandchildren; one great-grandchild; sister Jean Burton; and brother James McIntosh. Graveside services for Mrs. King will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday at Big Sandy United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Ed Worley officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Big Sandy United Methodist Church. Groce Funeral Home on Patton Ave. is assisting the family.
