Lillian Robinson Tipton, 75, passed away Wednesday, June 9, 2021 at Care Partners Solace Center.
Mrs. Tipton was born in Yancey, NC to the late Fred and Elizabeth Hyleman Robinson. She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Patsy Miller and Frieda Cook; a brother, Kenneth Bradford; a grandson, Jeffrey Strickland and a daughter-in-law, Kimberly Tipton.
Lillian was a member of Avery’s Creek Free Will Baptist Church. She loved gardening and was an excellent seamstress and baker.
She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Donald Tipton; son, Wayne Tipton; daughter, Victoria Whitlock; four sisters, Mary Love, Shirley Hall, Elizabeth McHone and Barbara Currie; three brothers, Bill Robinson, Fred Robinson and Benny Robinson; and two grandchildren, Kady Wacaster (Jordan) and Jacob Tipton (Christa)
A service will be held on Sunday, June 13, 2021 at 12:00 pm at Avery’s Creek Free Will Baptist Church with Pastor Roger Pack officiating. Burial will be in the Church’s cemetery.

Lil was a wonderful Christian friend.Will miss her so very much.Much love and prayers for all the family.
Lil will always be in our hearts and memory. She was a friend in the best sense of the word. Anyone who knew her or came in contact with her was blessed. We will miss her so much. Our love and prayers go out to Don, Wayne and Vicki and her grandchildren and sisters and brothers. Her earthly journey is finished but her eternal journey has just begun. We love you Lil.

Lillian was a sweet lady. I always enjoyed my interactions with her at Kim and Wayne’s house. Praying for the family.
