Lillian Robinson Tipton, 75, passed away Wednesday, June 9, 2021 at Care Partners Solace Center.

Mrs. Tipton was born in Yancey, NC to the late Fred and Elizabeth Hyleman Robinson. She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Patsy Miller and Frieda Cook; a brother, Kenneth Bradford; a grandson, Jeffrey Strickland and a daughter-in-law, Kimberly Tipton.

Lillian was a member of Avery’s Creek Free Will Baptist Church. She loved gardening and was an excellent seamstress and baker.

She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Donald Tipton; son, Wayne Tipton; daughter, Victoria Whitlock; four sisters, Mary Love, Shirley Hall, Elizabeth McHone and Barbara Currie; three brothers, Bill Robinson, Fred Robinson and Benny Robinson; and two grandchildren, Kady Wacaster (Jordan) and Jacob Tipton (Christa)

A service will be held on Sunday, June 13, 2021 at 12:00 pm at Avery’s Creek Free Will Baptist Church with Pastor Roger Pack officiating. Burial will be in the Church’s cemetery.
