Linda Elliott Bryant, 76, of Candler, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 10, 2017, at her home following a courageous batter with cancer.
Born in Oxford, MS, she was raised in Tampa, FL and was a daughter of the late James Robertson and Mary Jane Burt Elliott.
Mrs. Bryant worked as a loving wife, caring mother, and homemaker. She also worked at Proffitt's Dept. Store in the early 90s.
Mrs. Bryant is survived by her devoted husband, Joseph Ervin Bryant; children Robbie Bryant (Dorothy), Jay Bryant (Ginger), Julie Bryant Burnette (Kurt), and Steve Bryant (Christy); grandchildren, Robbie Bryant, Samantha Jo Bryant and Natalie Bryant; and great-granddaughters, Macy and Kylie Bryant, all of Candler.
Mrs. Bryant's life was filled with love for her family and friends. She adored children throughout her life and always had a welcoming home.
The memorial service for Mrs. Bryant will be at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday evening at Groce Funeral Home on Patton Ave. with Pastors Mike Anderson and Kevin Bates officiating. Her family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service.

Our deepest sympathy goes to the entire Bryant family. Linda was a tremendous loss to everyone. She will be dearly and deeply missed.

Linda fed and loved our son. She cared for our daughter and cried when she died. She was such a warm and loving person and we are going to miss her so much. Our thoughts are with all of you. Sue and Claude
Dear Bryant family, my heart is with you and for you during this time. Joe, you and Linda provided every youth with the good fortune to spend any time in your loving home, a wonderful example of what family can be. I was one such fortunate and it had a profound impact on my youth, I know Linda can hear this.
