Lois Brookshire Warren

Lois Brookshire Warren, 89, of 172 Sardis Road, Asheville, died Friday, December 20, 2002, in a Seneca, SC, nursing center. Mrs. Warren was born in Buncombe County and was a daughter of the late Horace and Mattie Crook Brookshire. She was also preceded in death by her husband, William George Warren who died in 1957, and by a son, William G. Warren, Jr., and a daughter, Georgia Christopher. She was a member of Reeves Chapel United Methodist Church. She is survived by four daughters, Clara Warren of Seneca, SC, Patricia Chrisco of Asheville, and Gladys Austin and Diana Johnson of Candler; two sons, George Edward Warren and Weldon W. Warren, both of Asheville’ a sister, Faye Barwick of Spartanburg, SC; nineteen grandchildren, forty great-grandchildren and several great-great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm Sunday in the Patton Avenue chapel of Groce Funeral Home with the Rev. Phillip Hurst officiating. Burial will be at Reeves Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery.
