Lois Jean Wilson Horner, 80, of Asheville, died Sunday, January 3, 2016, at the CarePartners Solace Center.
A native of Burlington, NC, she was a daughter of the late Garnett and Virgie Loy Wilson. Mrs. Horner was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.
Surviving are her husband of sixty-one years, John T. Horner; daughters, Rhonda H. Smith and Donna H. Baldwin; granddaughter, Ashley Baldwin; great-grandson, Gage Jones; and sister, Wilma Carol Smith.
Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday at Bent Creek Baptist Church, with the Rev. Tommy Bridges officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Bent Creek Baptist Church, 1554 Brevard Rd., Asheville, NC 28806.
Groce Funeral Home on Patton Ave. is assisting the family.

I was so sad to hear of Lois passing. I remember lots of wonderful times spent with the family. Lois was always so funny and treated me as if I were a part of the family. Terry and I are praying for you and asking God to bring you comfort in this difficult time.
