Lois Josephine Parham Franklin, 65, of 72 Dorchester Avenue, Asheville, died Friday, February 20, 2004, at her home.
A native of Haywood County, she was a daughter of the late Oscar and Mae Woody Parham. She was retired from the Asheville City Schools where she was a cafeteria manager and was a member of Deaverview Baptist Church.
Mrs. Franklin is survived by her husband, John Franklin; a daughter, Jackie McDonald of Asheville; a son, Johnny Franklin of Asheville; three sisters, Gladys Rich and Amy Revis of Asheville and Betty Plemmons of Candler; five brothers, Garland Parham of Hickory and Ralph, Bobby, Joe and Jerry Parham, all of Asheville; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm Monday at Deaverview Baptist Church with the Reverend Darrell Searcy officiating. Her family will greet friends following the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Deaverview Baptist Church, 240 Johnston Blvd., Asheville, NC 28806.
