Lois Williams Taylor
November 17, 1934 ~ November 22, 2024
Born in:
Stearns, Kentucky
Resided in:
Fletcher, North Carolina
Lois Williams Taylor, 90, of Fletcher, passed away peacefully on November 22, 2024.
A native of Stearns, KY, she was a daughter of the late Hoyt and Thelma Williams and was also preceded in death by her loving husband of 60 years, Garland Dean Taylor.
Lois, lovingly known as Grandmother and affectionately called Mini Mother, due to her petite stature, was a beacon of warmth and love in the lives of all who knew her. A lifelong homemaker, devoted mother, and cherished wife to Garland, she dedicated her life to creating a home filled with love, laughter, and care. She found deep joy in her faith, cherishing her time spent at church and the fellowship it brought. Her family and friends were her greatest treasures, and she was always just a phone call away to share laughter, wisdom, or a kind word. A talented cook, she delighted in preparing meals that brought people together, filling both hearts and stomachs with her care. Whether sitting in the sun, savoring its warmth, or enjoying life’s most simple pleasures, Lois radiated a light that will be deeply missed but forever remembered. Though small in size, she was larger than life in her love, wisdom, and the countless memories she created with those she held dear.
Lois is survived by her two daughters, Karen Hensley (her husband, Wayne) and Kim Lawson (her husband, Marty); two sisters, Marijane Gatliff and Jolene Teague; one brother, Landon Williams; five grandchildren, Sara Cranford (her husband, Brian), Brandon Hensley (his wife, Myra), Rebekah Johnson (her husband, Jason), Melina Arrowood (her husband, Jacob) and Adam Lawson (his wife, Jessica) and twenty-three great-grandchildren, London Cranford, Nolan Cranford, Sarah Arrowood, Jaleigh Johnson, Addison Hensley, Zoie Cranford, Elsie Cranford, Abe Cranford, Josie Johnson, Gemma Hensley, Berkley Arrowood, Canon Arrowood, Ephrum Cranford, Genesis Cranford, Dean Thomas Hensley, Jentry Johnson, Mariam Cranford, Georgia Lawson, Gianna Lawson, Charlie Cranford, Zaxton Cranford, Grady Lawson and Annie Mae Cranford.
A Funeral Service to celebrate Lois’ life and legacy will be held starting at 1:00 PM on Friday, November 29, 2024 at Boiling Springs Baptist Church with Pastor Phillip Luther officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Churchyard in Fletcher and Lois’ family will greet friends at Boiling Springs Baptist Church on Friday afternoon from 12:00 PM until 1:00 PM.
