LONNIE W. BUTLER ASHEVILLE – Lonnie W. Butler, 56, of Asheville, died on Friday, January 21, 2011. He is survived by his wife, Michelle Butler. He leaves behind a legacy of family and friends. Each day of his life was enriched by the love he gave and received from everyone. A celebration of life memorial will be held on Sunday, January 30th at Turkey Creek Baptist Church from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. Groce Funeral Home on Patton Avenue is serving the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the family.

  6. Missy, we were shocked as we read today’s obituaries and learning of Lonnie’s death. We can only imagine how sad you must feel, but our prayer for you is that the Lord would give you the ‘peace that passes all understanding.’

    I want to first say that I am very sorry for your loss. I was shocked when I seen his name in the paper today. My mother Brenda Swann helped raise Lonnie and Johnnie.
