Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. Dear Jessica: We have met you at various functions that Linda and Phil Mongiovi had — I grew up with Linda and am part of ‘the girlfriends’. We just learned of Lou’s death and am so very sorry. I cannot even begin to imagine what you are feeling, but I do know that if you did not love Lou so much, it wouldn’t hurt so much. So bear that pain as a testament to your love for each other Jessica. We will keep you in our prayers, because we know that Lou went straight to Heaven and is now watching over all of you. Much love, Wendy and John Crans

  2. Dear Jessica, Pam, and ‘Little’ Jessica,
I am so sorry for your loss of such a fine man. When Pat Horton left me a message yesterday, I was flooded with memories of a strong man that could be a big kid but that always strived to share the love of Christ, esp. with youth. I remembered how ‘crazy’ in love he was with his wife and how protective of his family. He had a righteous Sicilian temper and a marvelous sense of humor. Lou will be missed by all who had the joy of knowing him. May the love he poured into each of you sustain you as the peace of Christ enfolds you.
    With prayers for your comfort,
    Dorothy (and Johnny) Bevill

  3. Eddie and I are truely saddened at Lou’s passing. I loved looking at his face as I was singing with Impact. Words really can not convey our broken hearts.

  4. Dear Jesica, I was so stunned when our mutual friend Clyde Waters from the YMCA left me a message about the tragic news about Lou’s passing. I am clueless as to what may have happenned as I recently spoke to him by phone and all seemed well, but I am just so sincerely sorry for your loss and will pray for you and your family and friends . Lou was a great man, a great friend to me, and I wish you and your family the very best. So very sorry for your loss. Benn Grant

  5. Jessica, Pam and family,
We were so sorry to hear of Lou’s sudden sickness and death. He was having so much fun at the Community Celebration. He was a wonderful man and did so much for the Church, the youth, and the community. It is a great loss. We will miss him. Our prayers and thoughts are with you during this difficult time.
    Our love.

  6. When God Calls Our Love One Home!

We feel so sad when those we love
Are called to live in the home above.
But why should we grieve when they say goodbye and go to dwell in a cloudless sky.
For they have but gone to prepare
The way and we’ll meet them again some happy day.
For God has told us we’d be together.
So let His promise help soften your sorrow and bring you new strength for a brighter tomorrow.
    Poem by H. Rice

  9. Mrs. Mongiovi and Family,

I was so sorry to hear of Louis’ death. I was one of the nurses who worked with him, in surgery at St. Joseph’s on Sat. I prayed for you all, during the surgery and especially after, when you were receiving the news. I am so sorry that this had to happen, but I knew that you both knew our Lord and that He would see you through this. May He continue to lift you up with His loving arms and give you strength for the coming days.
    In His Love,
    Gretchen Williams

  19. Dear Jessica,

I heard about Lou’s death from my parents while I was away in Pennsylvania. I am sorry I was not able to be at the funeral, but I wanted to tell you how much I enjoy my memories of Lou from when he and Dad worked together. I remember best his laugh–so easy, loud, and generously applied. I don’t think I got most of his jokes at that age, but the sound of Lou and Ted laughing together will remain fixed in my mind.

I will never forget the respect with which Lou treated me and my sisters as children. He was always interested in what we had to say, regardless of whether our communications were worth hearing! His kindness and generosity were amazing. I am only sorry that I did not know him better in later years.

My prayers and thoughts are with you and Pam, and since I couldn’t be at the funeral, here’s a long distance hug. *hug*

    Much love,

    ~Nathan
