Louise Day Hefner

Louise Day Hefner, 85, of Fox Hollow Court, died on Thursday, July 12, 2007 at St. Joseph Hospital. She was born in New York City, New York and was the daughter of the late Michael and Rose Huovinen Vespoli. Mrs. Hefner was also preceded in death by her husband, Roy T. Day and three sisters and one brother. She had worked as a nursing assistant for Deerfield Episcopal Retirement Community. She is survived by her daughter, Carol Anderson and husband James S. “Andy” of Arden; three grand-children, Karen Louise Gosnell and husband Paul of London, England, Christine Rozella Lewis and husband Martin of Arden and Kevin Day Anderson of Arden; great-grandchildren, Paul Gosnell II, Ashley Elizabeth Gosnell, Anna Grace Lewis, Oliver Martin Lewis, Ella Rose Lewis and Lauren Day Anderson. A memorial service will be held 4:00 PM Monday in the chapel of Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian with the Rev. Joel Pressley officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Arden First Baptist Church, 3839 Sweeten Creek Road, Arden, NC 28704.
