Louise Wilson Moody

Katherine Louise Wilson Moody, 91, passed away Thursday, January 31, 2013 at her residence. Louise was born April 27, 1921 in Buncombe County. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry L. Moody, Jr. who died December 13, 2004. Louise retired from Taylor Instrument Co. where she worked as the lead person for the Tycos Medical Department. She was a long time member of Skyland Methodist Church and was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Her hobbies included reading and bowling. She was also an excellent cook and seamstress. She is survived by her four children; a son, Harry Moody III and his wife, Pat; a daughter, Nancy Harmon; a son, Larry Moody and his wife, Donna and a daughter, Peggy Powers and her husband, John, as well as nine grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren, all of Skyland. A funeral service will be held Sunday, February 3, 2013 at 3:00 pm at Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian with Reverends Nathan Moss and Charles Coxie officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Episcopal Churchyard in Fletcher. The family will receive friends from 2:00-3:00 PM on Sunday at the funeral home.
