Lucille Maggie Griffin

Lucille Maggie Griffin, 90, of Asheville, died Sunday, January 6, 2019, at Hendersonville Health & Rehabilitation in Flat Rock. A native of Buncombe County, she was a daughter of the late Floyd and Maggie Jones Searcy. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Oscar Griffin who died in 1992. Lucille is survived by a daughter, Judy Godwin of Mills River; two sisters, Margaret Craig of Fairview and Betty Harris Butler of Pinners Cove; one brother, Earl Searcy of Fairview; one granddaughter, Brittany Williams of Mills River as well as two great-grandchildren, Amelia and Teagan Williams. A Graveside Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, January 11, 2019 at Chapel Hill Baptist Church Cemetery with Pastor Rick Harris officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 PM Thursday at Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian.
