Lucy Mae Brown

Lucy Mae Brooks Brown, 84, of 21 Sand Hill Lane, Asheville, died Friday, December 27, 2002, at a local hospital. Born and raised in Leicester, she was a daughter of the late Jake and Laura Cole Brooks. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Hilliard Brown, who died in 1999. She worked in the shoe department at Sears for over 30 years. Mrs. Brown is survived by two sons, Alvin H. Brown of Miami, FL and Edwin H. Brown of Branford, FL; a sister, Metta Baker of Leicester and four grandchildren. Graveside services will be 2:00 pm Sunday at Forest Lawn Memorial Park with the Reverend Jay Broyles officiating.
