Luther Worley, Jr., 92, of Marshall, NC, passed away on Wednesday, August 31, 2016, at his residence.
Born in Madison County to the late Luther M. and Arizona Lunsford Worley, he retired from Coca-Cola Company after 42 years and loved to peddle produce.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Vivian Zimmerman Worley and two brothers, Francis and Robert Worley.
Survivors include his son, Floyd Worley (Janice) of Marshall; two daughters, Linda Miller (Wayne) and Joyce Hensley(Michael), all of Asheville; eight grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and brother, Wade Worley of Marion.
A funeral service will be held on Sunday, September 4, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Groce Funeral Home on Tunnel Road. Burial will follow at Skyview Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends Saturday, September 3, 2016 from 5:00 - 7:00 at the funeral home and at other times will be at 34 Cassada Road in Marshall.
The family wishes to extend special thanks to Care Partners nurse Berta and CNA Kathy Morris for the care they gave their loved one.
