Makenzi Diaz Hudgins, of 18 Little Jacob Dr., Marshall, died Saturday, April 11, 2009, at her home. Born on January 4, 2009, Makenzi was a daughter of Jeremiah and Michelle Guy Hudgins. She is also survived by her sister, Lena Hudgins; brother, Daniel Hudgins; maternal grandparents, Perry and Marina Guy; paternal grandparents, Kenneth and Sue Hudgins; aunts and uncles, Stephanie Hudgins, Loretta Shelton, Nick Guy, and Jeffery Guy; and cousins, Kayley Shelton, Aaron Shelton, Justin Guy, Zack Guy, Dallas Guy, and Austin Hudgins. A funeral service for Makenzi will be at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday at White Rock Baptist church with the Rev. Steve Robinson officiating. Interment will follow in the church's cemetery. Her family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Groce Funeral Home on Patton Ave. is assisting the family.

  6. I am so sorry for your loss. I wish there was something I could say to you to make all the hurt go away, but I know from experience there’s not. Time will not heal the pain, but it will soften the hurt. This don’t mean a lot to you right now, but it will in the days to come. I’m here for you all if you need me. Makenzi’s in the arms of Jesus right now, there’s no doubt about that and there will be a great reunion someday. Love you guys.

  10. Jeremiah and Michelle, we are deeply sorry for your loss. Right now it feels like the hurt will never end but in time and throught Gods Mercy and Grace the hurt will begin to ease.Even though I had only gotten to visit with little Makenzi a few times she took my heart by storm. Our hearts and prayers will continually be with you ,Daniel and Lena. We have experienced what you both are going through now so if you ever need us for anything or just need someone to talk to please call upon us day or night, we love you all very much.
