Maleta "Dee Dee" Dickerson, 71, of Barnardsville, NC, died on Thursday, February 28, 2013, at her home. A native of Buncombe Co., Mrs. Dickerson was the daughter of Maleta Pressley Moore and of the late Harry Lee Moore, Sr. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Harry Lee Moore, Jr. Mrs. Dickerson retired as the branch manager of Commercial Credit, where she worked for 30 years. In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, Jimmy Dickerson; sons, Johnny and Paul Willis; step-daughter, Jill Gillespie; sister, Joy Roland; and five grandchildren: Cameron, Mackenzie, Carlee, Jacquelyn, and Madison Willis. A memorial service for Mrs. Dickerson will be 3:00 p.m. on Monday at the Groce Funeral Home chapel on Patton Ave. with the Rev. Jeff Hudson officiating. Her family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to CarePartners Hospice, P.O. Box 25338, Asheville, NC 28813.
