  9. Margaret was a wonderful person who gave her all to whatever she did. I had the pleasure of working with her at North Buncombe Elementary. Margaret always pulled the best out of people. She herself strived for excellence and that is what she wanted for her school, teachers and students. What an impact she made on hundreds of students lives! I am proud to have known and worked with her. Prayers for peace to her family whom she loved very much.

  10. Margaret was such a sweet, kind and classy lady! I am thankful I had the privilege of knowing and working with her.

  11. Margaret was my first principal after moving to Asheville in 1993. We found out that we were related and attended one of the Barber reunions in Tryon. My thoughts are with her immediate family.

  12. Mrs. Edwards was the principal at North Buncombe Elementary when my sons attended there. She was a wonderful person and excellent principal. She always signed off the day by telling the students she would “see you bright and early” whenever the next school day would be. Even the last day of school for the year she would say that about the start of school in August. My oldest son hated that saying but loved Mrs. Edwards. She positively impacted many young lives. Prayers of comfort for her family.

  13. Margaret was beautiful, inside and out. She always offered to help me host the UMW luncheons. Rest in peace, dear friend.

  14. Margaret and I took some classes together working on our Masters in Administration. We studied together many times. Always appreciated Margaret’s smile, calm voice, and how we supported each other. I think she attended the Methodist church in Oakley. She was a dedicated Christian, for which I always admired and respected. Margaret was a really good, nice person.
