Arden ~ Margaret Fowler Repass, 65, of Sleepy Gap Road died Monday, March 13, 2006, at the Laurels of Greentree Ridge. A native of Buncombe County, she was daughter of the late Detrick and Ruth Sprouse Fowler and also was preceded in death by a brother, Jack Fowler. She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church. Surviving are her husband, William “Bill” Repass; a daughter, Beth Hyder of Oakley; three sons, Bill Repass of Leicester, Scott Repass of Hoopers Creek and Doug Repass of Greenville, SC. She is survived by six grandchildren, Brian, Lauren and Katie Repass, Greg Burnette, Dillon Hyder and Rachel Repass; three sisters, Betty Fletcher of Asheville, Jeanette Neighbors of Nashville, Tenn. and Ruby Wright of Sevierville, Tenn.; and two brothers, Joe Fowler of Douglasville, Tenn. and Fred Fowler of San Diego, Calif. Funeral services for Mrs. Repass will be held 2:00 pm Thursday, in the chapel of Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian conducted by the Revs. Jerry Young and Roger Rearden. Burial will follow at Roberts Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Wednesday at Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian.

    I am so sorry to hear of this unfortunate loss to your family. I have fond memories of the many nights that Mrs. Repass welcomed me into her home and treated me like I was one of the family. It was clear that she was a wonderful mother,wife and a very loving person.     So sorry to hear of your loss. I lost my identical twin sister Evolyn Knight one year ago. You may not remember me, but Evolyn and I went to school with you and Margaret at Biltmore High. We graduated in the class of 1957.

    I remember Margaret as being a beautiful person (inside and out). I always thought things would be good for the both of you.

  17. I wish to express my sympathy to the Repass family due to the Homegoing of Margaret. Even tho I had not seen Margaret in a long time I thought of her and her brothers and sisters often. We all sorta grew up together and I was in their Home many times and was made to feel like one of the family. Jeanette and I were special friends because we were about the same age but they all were wonderful people.I remember Mrs. Fowler and have many fond memories of the entire family. Please be assured that my thoughts and prayers are with the entire family. Love to you all.

Bill, and kids you were margaret’s whole life,she loved you bill with all her being…not only was we cousin’s but we were best friends..we had so much fun growing up..and fun when we grew up..bill, when you were working and went to bed early .margaret would call me every night and we would talk and watch t.v over the phone.this went on for years.we would have a good time talking about the LORD, how she loved him.i know everyone is so sad and hurt..but just think about her now with her LORD and mother walking on the streets of gold and talking wlth our sweet JESUS..i loved every day i spent with her while she was so sick and trying to feed her and doing her toe nails..just remember that GOD is on your side and he will take care of you..i will truely miss my best friend.Paul and i have been praying for all of you and we still will be when the days ahead are so dark, just know that we are praying that GOD will be with you and hold your hand for he love you..and we do too.

  34. I’m so sorry to hear of your loss. I worked with Margaret at Givens Estates in 1989 and have been out of touch for awhile but she was a great ,unforgettable friend who will be greatly missed. She always talked of her children and grandchildren. God Bless the Repass Family in their great loss.
