Margaret Helen Jones Cross, 88, of 35 Wagon Road, Asheville, died Monday, October 4, 2004.
Mrs. Cross was born in Spartanburg, SC and was a daughter of the late Baxter Earl and Lillie Mae Morgan Jones. She was married to Luther A. Cross who died in 1994. Mrs. Cross was a member of Oteen United Methodist Church.
Surviving are one daughter, Lisa C. Roberts of Candler; one grandson, Kevin Brian Arrowood of Greenville, SC; and a brother Elbert Jones of Asheville.
A funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday in the chapel of the Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery with the Rev. Douglas Benton officiating. Burial will be in the Veterans Cemetery.
Her family will receive friends following the service at the residence, 35 Wagon Road.
Memorials may be made to Oteen United Methodist Church, 48 Browndale Road, Asheville, NC 28805.
