Margie R Bingham

Margie Roberts Bingham, 85, formerly of 87 Belmont Avenue, Asheville, died Wednesday, December 15, 1999, in Henderson, NV. Mrs. Bingham was born in Buncombe County and was a daughter of the late E.E. and Cora Sheppard Roberts. She was retired from Southern Bell where she was a toll operator for 31 years. She was a member of the Telephone Pioneers Club and of West Asheville Baptist Church. She was also an honorary life member of the Communication Workers of America. She is survived by a son, Robert Bingham of Henderson, NV; one sister, Janet Earwood of Tampa, FL; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be at 3:00 pm Sunday at Clarks Chapel Cemetery, Weaverville, with the Rev. Dr. John T. Tiller and the Rev. Roy Kilby officiating. Groce Funeral home on Patton Avenue is in charge of the arrangements.
