Maria-Theresia Elizabeth Dowe Reid, 88, passed away Friday, March 1, 2024, at her residence.

A native of Germany, Maria-Theresia was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Edward Reid. She is survived by her son, Michael Reid and his wife Linda; four grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and her brother, Marcel Dowe.

The funeral service for Mrs. Reid will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 5, at the Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery Chapel, Black Mountain. The Rev. Fr. Dean Cesa, St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, will officiate.

Groce Funeral Home on Patton Avenue is assisting the family.
