Marian "Midge" Penland Reynolds

Marian "Midge" Penland Reynolds, 73, of Black Mountain passed away peacefully Friday, March 6, 2015 surrounded by family and friends. Midge was born in Buncome County to the late Ralph Dupree Penland and Gussie Payne Penland. So many times Midge held the hand and comforted those who have departed, but this was her time to walk the streets of Gold to be with her brothers, sisters and especially her mother. She didn't want any of us to mourn her but rather we celebrate the many times of laughter and love she shared with everyone fortunate enough to have known her. She is survived by her husband, William "Bill" Reynolds and their four children, Lisa Cantrell, Dana Ingle and her husband, Eric, Scott Reynolds and his wife, Tracee and Robert "Rob" Reynolds; a brother, Gary "Pete" Penland and his wife, Dotsy; eight grandchildren, Melissa, Kristin, Dean, Mikal, Patrick, Drew, John and Emma; one great granddaughter, Mia; a special niece, Sherry Johnson and her husband, Michael, as well as many other loved family and friends. A memorial service will be held at 6:00 PM on Tuesday, March 10, 2015 at Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian with Reverend Donald Hare officiating. The family will receive friends following the service Tuesday at the Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Care Partners Hospice, P.O.
