Marie Helen Jahn

Marie Helen Jahn, 85, of Asheville, died Wednesday, March 13, 2002, at a local nursing home. A native of Montevideo, MN, she was a daughter of the late Leroy and Ida Bistadeau Jahn. She was retired from Riverside County, CA where she worked as a senior accounting clerk. Ms. Jahn is survived by her son, Michael W. Grier, MD and his wife Christine of Fairview; a sister, Lois Jahn of San Francisco, CA; two brothers, John Jahn of Corona, CA and Vernon Jahn of San Jose, CA; five grandchildren, Nichole, Arik, Jeanine, Aaron and Renee and a number of nieces and nephews. A Memorial Mass will be said at 9:00 am Friday, March 15, 2002, at St. Barnabas Catholic Church with the Reverend Father Roger Arnsparger officiating. Mass will be preceded by the Rosary at 8:45 am. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Catholic Social Services, 50 Orange Street, Asheville, NC 28801.
