Guestbook

  1. My sincere condolences to you in this your time of loss. I worked for many years with both your Father and Mother and remember what wonderful, kind and gracious people they were.

  2. Mina and I extend our sincere condolences to you. Your mother was a fascinating lady with such an appreciation for the world around her. Her inquiring mind was active to the very end. We will have a mass said for Marie at St. Joan of Arc.

Our fondest regards for all of you.

  3. I worked with Marie and John for many, many years at the National Climatic Center. Marie was always professional and helpful during my quests for microfilm data and it was a pleasure to have her as a co-worker. Please accept my sympathy with the knowledge that both your parents were a credit to their profession and their community.

  4. To the family of John and Marie

We live a couple of blocks from where your mom and dad lived in West Asheville. When we first moved here over ten years ago, your parents used to walk by our house in the early evening. Gradually, we got to know them. Your dad gave us our first pink hollyhock seeds. We saw your mom occasionally after your father died–if we passed her house on our evening walks we would sometimes stop and say hello. Both your mom and dad always had such interesting information to share. And, of course, they were very proud of their family. We will miss both of them but want you to know that they left us with wonderful memories.
