Marion Lorraine Haigh Vanassche, 80, of 59 Laurel Cove Road, Leicester, died Friday, February 12, 2000, in an Asheville hospital.

Mrs. Vanassche was born in Toronto, Canada and was a daughter of the late Albert and Nell Burch Haigh. She was married to Leo Charles Vanassche who died in 1996. She attended the Leicester Community Church.

Surviving are two daughters, Marilee Vanassche of Leicester and Marie Brockmiller of Algonac, MI; two sons, Douglas Vanassche of Leicester and Christopher Vanassche of Palm Springs Gardens, FL; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 6:00 pm Sunday in the Patton Avenue chapel of Groce Funeral Home with the Rev. James Paul officiating.
