Marjorie Ruth Emery

Marjorie Ruth Noe Emery, 90, of 63 Clinton Ave., Asheville, died Tuesday, March 17, 2015, at Emerald Ridge Care Center in Asheville. A native of Knoxville, TN, she was a daughter of the late William and Lola Livingston Noe. She was also preceded in death by 3 sisters, Mrs. Ollie Humbard of Knoxville, Mrs. Angeline Russell of Asheville, and Mrs. Sylvia Masciola of Chicago. Mrs. Emery was a graduate of Lee H. Edwards High School. She worked for First Union Bank, and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. Mrs. Emery is survived by 2 nieces, Dr. Sharyn Edwards of Chadbourn, NC, and Karen Entzi of Leicester, NC; great-niece, Anna Lonon, great-great nephew, Jack Lonon, and great-great niece Harper Rose Lonon, all of Charleston, SC. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 19, in the Patton Ave. chapel of Groce Funeral Home, with the Rev. Rodney Hagans officiating. Interment will follow at Green Hills Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
