Martha Ida Miller, 89, of Parkview Dr., Candler, died Monday, November 26, 2012, at Mission Hospital. A native of Philadelphia, PA, she was a daughter of the late Eugene and Mariana Clemens Liesau. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Eugene Liesau. Mrs. Miller was previously employed at the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia. She is survived by her husband, John W. Miller; sons Thomas S. Miller of Plano, TX, and Richard E. Miller of Candler; 8 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Marion Fetterolf, of Blue Bell, PA. A memorial service for Mrs. Miller will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 1, 2012, at New Life Community Church, with the Rev. Steve Harris officiating. Interment will be at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, December 3, 2012, at the Western Carolina State Veteran's Cemetery in Black Mountain. Her family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday at Groce Funeral Home on Patton Ave.

Thank you Jesus for receiving Mrs. Miller home to be with you in paradise.

    We were sadden to hear of your Mom’s passing. We have enjoyed getting to know her and your dad at church. Our prayers will be with all of you during this time.

    What a ‘rich’ legacy your mother has left in you and your family! Thank you so very much for your faithfulness to the Lord and the message of His freedom and love. May the Lord keep you in His peace in this season and in the hope of His glory which your mother already rests in. We praise God for your mother, for raising you and your brother. Multitudes have been blessed through your family! Praise God!
