Mary Duckett McElrath

Mrs. McElrath was a daughter of the late Will and Amanda Elkins Duckett and was married to Moody McElrath who died in 1989. She was also preceded in death by a son, Joe McElrath and a great-grandson, Raymond Fisher. She was a member of Liberty Baptist Church.

Surviving are a daughter, Wilda Fisher and her husband Leo of Candler; a brother, William H. Duckett of Asheville; three grandsons, Douglas Fisher, and Keith and Jeff McElrath; one great-grandson and two great-granddaughters.

Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Wednesday in the Patton Avenue chapel of Groce Funeral Home with the Rev. Stanley Taylor officiating. Burial will be at Hice Hill Cemetery.

Her family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
