Mary Ardia Felmet Pike, 77, of 8 Glencliff Rd., Candler, died Wednesday, June 20, 2007. A native of Buncombe Co., she was a daughter of the late Frank Grayson and Margaret Lucas Felmet. Mrs. Pike retired from Southern Bell after 33 years of working as a personal secretary to the plant manager at the Cherry St. location. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. Mrs. Pike is survived by her husband, Jack Pike; sister, Margaret Jean Heinemann, of Kokomo, IN; brothers, Frank Grayson Felmet, Jr., of Albany, GA, and Donald Felmet and wife Barbara, of Asheville; two nieces, three nephews, and a number of great-nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Pisgah View Memorial Park with the Rev. Dr. Buddy Corbin officiating. Her family will receive friends 7:00 - 8:30 p.m. Friday at Groce Funeral Home on Patton Ave. Memorials may be made to the Calvary Baptist Church Building Fund, 531 Haywood Rd., Asheville, NC 28806.
