Mary Frances Adams

Mary Frances Adams, 85, of 22 Tuskeegee St., Asheville, died on Sunday, December 14, 2008, at Memorial Campus Mission Hospitals. A native of Long Island, NY, Mrs. Adams was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Rudolph Weih. She was also preceded in death by her husbands, Glenn Stines, and Jack Adams; and by her daughter, Dolores Parton. Mrs. Adams was a member of Cumberland Ave. Baptist Church. She is survived by her daughters, Barbara A. Hawkins and Sue Penland, both of Asheville; sons, Glenn A. Stines, of St. Robert, MO, and Richard T. Stines, of Asheville; seven grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. A funeral service for Mrs. Adams will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday in the Patton Ave. chapel of Groce Funeral Home with the Rev. Earl Jones officiating. Interment will follow at Newfound Baptist Church. Her family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
