Mary Frances Shipman

MARY SHIPMAN FAIRVIEW - Mary Frances Shipman, 78, of formerly of Asheville and Fairview, died Tuesday, December 1, 2009, at the Golden Living Center, Hendersonville. A native of Buncombe Co., Miss Shipman was a daughter of the late Oliver Dale and Vergie Cody Shipman. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Lucille Branton. Miss Shipman had retired from Square D, where she worked as assembler and was a member of the Nazarene Church. She is survived by sisters, Carolyn Bleeker and husband Garry, and Christine Dryman and husband Bill; and brother, Howard Shipman and wife Mary, five nieces and seven nephews. A graveside service will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday at Ashelawn Gardens of Memory.
