Arden ~ Mary Katherine Kinmon Pinner, 80, of Arden, went home to her Lord Thursday, January 10, 2002.

Mrs. Pinner is the daughter of the late Jesse B. and Tunie Maxwell Newman.

She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Cecil Pinner; two daughters, Mary Phyllis Kinmon of Gaffney, SC and Lynne Birkler of Lakeland, FL; two sons, Phillip Kinmon of Hendersonville, NC and Quinn Pinner of Memphis, TN; one sister, Sarah Caroline Walker and a brother, A.J. Newman, both of Hendersonville, NC; eleven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held at Calvary Episcopal Church on Sunday, January 13 at 2:00 PM with Reverend Victor Mansfield officiating.

In lieu of flowers, one may make gifts to Guardian Ad Litem Service, Henderson County Courthouse, 200 N. Grove St., Hendersonville, NC 28792 or the Lupus Foundation, PO box 9212, Asheville, NC 28815.
