Guestbook

  1. Maybre was my dear aunt and a person who helped me understand so many things as a child that were a mystery to me. She had such a zest for life and I will always cherish the sound of her laughter and her disregard for the conventional. As if it were only yesterday, I recall her turning sommersaults in the yard with me. I must have been about ten or twelve years old and she in her mid-twenties, already a married lady and a mother but my special playmate. She had great courage in spite of many obstacles and was an inspiration to me. She loved deeply and felt great emotion, both happiness and sadness. She gave me much more than I gave her and I have many regrets. But, I will always love Maybre. Karen and Stephen and Harold…be thankful that she was your mother and wife.
