  1. Dear Family,
There has never been a more dedicated, loving human-being on this planet than Ms. Medford. She was the epitomy of what being a teacher is all about. I know for I had her as my 3rd grade teacher at Sand Hill. She opened my young eyes to the beauty in the world and what a caring, loving teacher was all about. Even through the years of seeing her out and about, we always had warm conversations about life and how each of us were doing. She always expressed her curiosity in how I was and what I had learned. Every child should be as fortunate as I in knowing and loving Ms. Medford. From the first moment I met her in the fall of 1958, I knew she would be one of my favorite heroes. It was an honor to know her loving, sweet soul.

  2. Mrs Medford was my teacher in 1964. I loved being in her class, and fondly remember how she made her check-marks backward!!

    She was a wonderful lady.

  3. Mrs Medford was my 3rd grade teacher around 1950. She was also our neighbor as I lived on Timary Lane, now Prichard Rd. She was a great teacher and was always interested in what I was doing and I often stopped by to see her before we moved to West Asheville in 1954. I’m glad to learn that she lived such a long life. She truly was an influence on me and I’m glad she was my teacher and friend.
