Merritt "Rick" Deary

Merritt "Rick" Deary Hendersonville, NC~ Merritt "Rick" Deary, 71, died Wednesday October 31, 2012 at the Elizabeth House. A native of Detroit, MI, Rick was a son of Dorothy Merritt Deary and of the late Robert Deary. Rick proudly served in the US Army during the Vietnam era. In addition to his mother, Rick is survived by his wife of 49 years, Carol Deary; two daughters, Lisa Browning and her husband, Robert and Lauren Turner and her husband, Duane; one son, Robert Deary; one sister, Susan Abele as well as seven grandchildren. A private family service will be held. Memorials may be made to The Lustgarten Foundation for Pancreatic Cancer Research at www.lustgarten.org. Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian in Arden, NC is assisting the family.
