Fletcher – Michelle Elizabeth Hales, 51, of Fletcher, died Tuesday, March 17, 2020 at CarePartners Solace Center.
A native of Columbia, SC, she was a daughter of Paul Langford of Missouri and of the late Eloise Freeman Langford.
Michelle graduated from T.C. Roberson in 1987 and later graduated from Wesleyan University in 2014.
In addition to her father, she is survived by her soul mate, Dean Hales; her aunt, Ann Langford; Michelle’s canine child, “Bull” as well as her special close friends, Amy, Veronica, and Dawn.
Due to the local and national health concerns, a service celebrating Michelle’s life will be held in the Chapel of Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian at a later date which will be announced a few days prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, Michelle’s family asks that you consider making a donation in her memory to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure (ww5.komen.org) or to a charity of one’s choice.
God has called his Angel home. Our dear friend you will be missed. We cherish our memories and thankful for all the times we shared. We love you. Mary and Glen

I worked with Michelle at Allstate. She was kind and always smiling. Peace and love to the family.
I didnt know her personally but I went to school with Dean. I am so sorry for your loss.

I went to school with Michelle and I’m very sad to hear of her passing. She was beautiful inside and out. Keeping her family in my prayers.
I am so sorry to hear this news. Michelle has been my dear friend since middle school at Valley Springs. I have fond memories of her. I will never forget her kind soul and her laugh. I can hear her now, saying “Hey lady”, always giving compliments. She was beautiful inside and out! I will miss getting together with our Class of ’87 girl friends!! Sending prayers to her family. We lost an angel way too young.
