Mildred Kaylor Smith

Mildred was a mother, mother in law, grandmother and great grandmother to our family. She will be missed. A wonderful cook who made the best fried chicken I have ever eaten , she loved to have family in to eat a big Sunday meal. She worked at Finkelsteins in Asheville for many years and attended Merrimon Avenue Baptist Church, which was located only blocks from her home. She was preceded in death by her son, Kenneth and is survived by daughters, Becky and Rita. She was a grandmother to three grandchildren, and four great grandchildren. She loved to read to her grandchildren when they were small and was delighted when they came to visit her.
