Miriam "Jane" Gilliam, 71, passed away at her residence Thursday August 30, 2012. She was born November 3, 1940 to the late Loranzia Dow and Helen Reynolds Moore. She is also preceded in death by her brother Bill Moore. Jane is survived by her son Joe Gilliam; Daughters Sandra Hammond, and Becky Young. Eight Grandchildren: Robert Allison, Kevin Allison, Julie Bean, Travis Mathis, Tony Gilliam, Michael Young, Rayna Young, and River Allison. A funeral service will be held Sunday September 2, 2012 in the Chapel of Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian, at 4:00pm, with the Rev. Alan Taylor officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:30pm to 4:00pm prior to the service. In lieu of flowers those that wish may make donations to Four Season Hospice at 571 South Allen Road, Flat Rock, NC 28731
