Modine Hutchinson Moore

Modine Hutchinson Moore, 83, of 3 Jugtown Road, Candler, died Wednesday, May 7, 2003. Mrs. Moore was born in Buncombe County and was a daughter of the late Mitch and Icie Clark Hutchinson. She was also preceded in death by two sons H.M. Hutchinson and Jimmy Luther, a daughter Gail Case and two sisters Margaret Poe and Ovela Couch. She was a former employee of Baker’s Packing Company and attended church at the Lighthouse for Jesus. She is survived by her son, Terry Hutchinson and his wife Linda of Asheville; four grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; a son-in-law, Leonard Case, with whom she made her home; three sisters, Nell Lance, Evelyn Webb and Hazel Jones, and two brothers Burton Hutchinson and his wife Lucille and James Hutchinson. Funeral services will be at 11:00 am Saturday in the Patton Avenue chapel of Groce Funeral Home with the Rev. Woody Hutchinson and Mr. Wesley Hutchinson officiating. Burial will follow at Pisgah View Memorial Park. Her family will receive friends form 7 - 8:30 pm Friday at the funeral home and at other times will be at the home of her son, Terry Hutchinson, 86 Newfound Road, Asheville.
