Enka, NC
Mollie A. Allison, 93, formerly of Enka, went to be with her Lord Thursday, January 12, 2006.
A native of Newport, TN, she was a daughter of the late Oliver and Lily Arrington and was also preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Carl G. Allison, who died in 1981, three sons, Jackie Donald, Lloyd Reginald, and Kenneth Darrell Allison, and her sister, Hallie Wilkie.
Mrs. Allison was a volunteer with the American Red Cross and she was a member of Enka Baptist Church where she taught the Lydia Sunday School class. Her church was very important to her. The members of Enka Baptist have seen her family through good times and bad. They were always with her.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Hallie and Duane Morgan; three grandchildren, Allison Warren, Heather Clark and Scott Morgan, and six great-grandchildren, Morgan, Camille, Josh, Justin, Taylor, Kelsey and Robert.
Mollie had many friends, and among the closest are Susan Campbell, Ralph Smith and Gerry Brooks.
Mollie was a friend to all. Her door on Orchard Street was always open. Her heart was big and she was always there to listen. She lived her life walking with God. She always said “You don’t take anything with you when you leave this world except what you give away.” Mollie kept the faith; she passed her life test; she fought the fight and now she is at peace with God.
Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Sunday at Enka Baptist Church with the Revs. Ron Brown, G. Scott Lynch and Dr. Larry Melton officiating. Burial will follow at New Morgan Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Grandma Mollie’s grandsons, Scott, Josh, Justin, Taylor, and Robert and friends.
Her family will receive friends from 7:00 - 8:30 p.m. Saturday at Groce Funeral Home on Patton Avenue.
Memorials may be made to New Morgan Hill Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, c/o Dolores Reeves, 18 Qualla Drive, Candler, NC 28715, or to Enka Baptist Church, PO Box 219, Enka, NC 28728.

Dear Hallie and family, those who doubted that angels walked among us never met Mollie. She was a wonderful, loving person and heaven is full of smiles today. I don’t have any doubt that she has already planned a fishing trip with Carl and my Daddy. She holds a special place in my heart. With love, TATA
Dearest Hallie, Duane, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. We loved your mother and grandmother so much. Our friendship goes back to when I was a little girl. As long as I knew Mollie, she was always giving to others; whether it be to take care of them if they were ill, or being active in the church, or caring for my mother when she was so sick. Mollie always put others before herself. I wish there were more Mollie Allison’s today. The world would certainly be a better place. Oh, what I’d give for all the wisdom she had. And she had so much love to give! And she shared it with all her family and everyone she knew. I guess the biggest legacy Mollie Allison left to this world, is what a true Christian should be. She was a true warrior for Christ. We loved her very much and everything she stood for. I’m sure she has had a warm reunion with my mother, and Carl, and all her children. Can you just imagine it! I can’t wait to see Mollie again!
Love and Prayers, Randy and Kathy
