Born in: Greenville, SC
Resided in: Candler, NC

Molly Marie Trantham, age 73, passed away unexpectedly in her beloved home in Candler on December 20, 2025.

Molly was preceded in death by her siblings Patricia “Pat” Taylor, Hughey Lindsey, Larry Howard, Susan Williams, and Edna Howard, as well as her stepson, Steve Trantham, whom she adored.

She is survived by her loving husband, Dennis Trantham; her sisters, Rhonda Smith and Regina Sprouse; her children, Darlene Goldsmith, Robert Shelton (Bobby), and Denise Trantham; and her stepson, Alan Trantham. Also surviving are her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who were truly the joy of her life.

Molly was known for her bright smile, welcoming heart, and the way she made everyone feel at home. Her family and the many friends she considered family will deeply miss her. No one ever left her home without a laugh and a full plate of food.

She could often be found canning, gardening, and listening to her old-time country music by her burning barrel—simple moments that brought her great happiness.

An at-home memorial will be held on Saturday, December 27, at 1:00 p.m.

Molly’s warmth, kindness, and love will be remembered always.
