Muriel Hoffman Smith, 87, formerly of Freeport, NY passed away Friday March 1, 2013. She was the daughter of the late Henry and Mabel Viola Hoffman.
Muriel is survived by her son Jeffrey James Smith; three grandchildren Stephen Christopher Smith and wife Beth Clark, Marissa Leanne Smith, and Mackenzie Marie Smith; Five great grandchildren Nathaniel, Alex, Briana, Caitlyn, and Abigail Smith.

My thoughts and prayers are with each of you. Miss Muriel was such a unique person. I always told her I was gonna make a Southern girl out of her. She loved being called a New Yorker, that was a way of capturing that contagious, beautiful smile. I will forever hold her in my heart. Thank you for letting me be a part of her life.
