Nadezhda Mikhaylovna Ivanchenkova, age 68, of Asheville, died Tuesday, July 12, 2016.
Born June 1, 1948 in Voskresenovka, Kazakhstan, she was a daughter of the late Mikhail Voyevodskiy and Pelageya Voyevodskaya. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Georgiy Gavrilovich Ivanchenkov, on September 13, 2015.
Mrs. Ivanchenkova is survived by her daughters, Inna Yocum and husband Jason of Asheville, and Yelena Pilipenko and husband Dmitriy of Harrisonburg, VA; son, Sergey Ivanchenkov and wife Marina of Jacksonville, FL; grandchildren, Julia Pilipenko, Eliza Pilipenko, Angela Ivanchenkova, Sabrina Ivanchenkova, and Katrina Ivanchenkova; and brothers and sisters, Nikolay Voyevodskiy, Mikhail Voyevodskiy, Vera Prokoshina, Lyubov Price, Leonid Voyevodskiy, Valentina Volkova, and Yelena Slashcheva.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday at Groce Funeral Home, Patton Ave., with the Rev. Yuriy Poprazhuk officiating. Burial will follow at Green Hills Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Nadia was such a warm and friendly person every day at Leicester Elementary. I looked forward to seeing her warm smile everyday.
