Neaner Gasperson Banks

Neaner Gasperson Banks, 85, formerly of Avery's Creek, Arden, died Friday, April 9, 1999, in an Asheville health care center.
Mrs. Banks was born in Avery's Creek and spent all her life in Buncombe County. She was a daughter of the late Mans and Martha Woods Gasperson. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Clyde M. Banks, in 1998, and by four brothers, Ernest, Mans, Abraham aand Kynzer Gasperson and by two sisters, Lillie Kyle and Addie Wrenn.
She is survived by a daughter, Jo Ann and her husband, Bill Starowesky, of Okeechobee, FL; three sisters, Marie Case of Asheville, Dessie Murray of Lancaster, SC, and Irene Coy of Arden; two grandchildren, Robert Day and Kimberly Faircloth and two great-granddaughters, Nina and Lauren Faircloth, five sisters-in-law, and many nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be at 11:00 am Monday at Forest Lawn Memorial Park with the Reverend Donald N. Welborn officiating.
Her family will receive friends from 9:30 - 10:30 am Monday at Groce Funeral Home on Patton Avenue.
