Nettie Prince Stubbs Poore, 94, of Britthaven of Morganton, formerly of Candler, died Friday, January 21, 2000 in Morganton.

She was a daughter of the late Laburn and Nettie Elizabeth Fletcher Stubbs. She was preceded in death by her husband Dewey M. Poore. She was a charter member of ELECTA-O.E.S. in Candler where she served as secretary for many years. Mrs. Poore was a member of Liberty Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School for 33 years and played the piano for many years.

She is survived by two daughters, Betty Chandler of Morganton, Peggy Hall of Hampton, VA; two sisters, Lorena Skeen of Biscoe, NC, Waldo Bailey of Pinehurst, NC; two brothers, Albert Stubbs of Florence, SC, Joel Stubbs of Pinehurst, NC; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 3:00 pm Saturday at Liberty Baptist Church with the Reverends Michael Beshears and Gene King officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Her family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
