Resided in:
Asheville, NC
Norma McClellan Radcliffe, 80, of Asheville, died on Thursday, February 5, 2015, at her residence.
A native of Buncombe Co., Norma was a daughter of the late Charlie and Mildred Corn McClellan and the stepdaughter of Linda "Teenie" McClellan. She was preceded in death by her cherished sister, Annabelle Roller, and brother, Ernest McClellan, as well as her beloved husband of 61 years, Richard Forest Radcliffe, who died on May 24, 2014.
Norma is survived by her son, Richard Radcliffe; daughter, Cindy Radcliffe (Brian) and several nieces and nephews. A special mention should be made of sister-in-law and treasured friend Mildred Everett of Virginia.
Norma's legacy is one of total love and devotion to her family. She loved with the open and trusting heart of a child her entire life. While tiny in stature, her indomitable spirit and courage were larger than life; she was truly a force of nature.
Norma married Richard when she was barely 18 years old and spent the next 61 years spoiling him outrageously with the type of love and devotion rarely witnessed. His passing was the single event that she could not overcome, her heart remained with him even while her body remained earth-bound. They are reunited now and making up for lost time; that certain belief is the only thing that can make the loss of two such incredible treasures bearable.
The family would like to express sincere appreciation for the wonderful care she received from Dr. Word-Sims of Mountain Kidney Associates and Dr. Cameron Stone of Western Carolina Retinal Specialists as well as the loving and compassionate staff of CarePartners Hospice. If desired, memorial donations to CarePartners Hospice, P.O. Box 25338, Asheville, NC 28813, are appreciated.
A graveside service for Mrs. Radcliffe will be at 3:30 p.m. on Sunday, February 8 at Flat Creek Baptist Church Cemetery in Weaverville with the Rev. Sonia Burleson officiating.

Cindy,Thank you for letting me know about your Mom’s passing. That was a beautiful message you left. Norma and I met at work and became friends . She was like a mentor to me, teaching me alot about life, love, and the importance of family. Her and your Dad are together, and I can see her smiling down on us, and just letting everyone know everything is ok. My prayers go to you and your family during this time of loss..God bless you…She will live in my heart ‘forever’.
With love,
Tara & Mike
